After a fire strikes the home of a Warren family, the community has come together to offer support to the family.
Donations are pouring in as community comes together to help Warren family whose home on Le Fever Avenue near Eight Mile Road exploded on Nov. 30, 2019.
The explosion was felt around the block according to Warren Fire Commissioner Skip McAdams.
Brandy Brown and her mother will be received the donations that Mayor Fouts’ office collected for the family.
Warren mayor Jim Fouts put out the call for help on Facebook after he learned of what had occurred and organized a drive to help collect items for the Brown family during this difficult time.
The overwhelming response resulted in numerous items being donated including clothing, coats, shoes, and other necessities.
“This is all for you and your family. This is from the citizens of Warren,” Mayor Jim Fouts said to Brandy Brown when she showed up at Warren City hall to accept the donations.
