MAYOR JIM FOUTS DECLARES SUNDAY FEBRUARY 28 RARE DISEASE DAY IN THE CITY OF WARREN

Mayor Jim Fouts recently declared Sunday, February 28 as Rare Disease Day 2021 in the City of Warren.  Rare Diseases include Pitt Hopkins Syndrome. Pitt Hopkins Syndrome is just 1 of nearly 7,000 diseases and conditions that are considered rare.  Nearly 1 in 10 Americans have a rare disease or condition.

Pictured below is Isabella Turkiela, an 8 year-old Warren resident diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome.

The City of Warren is committed to helping those with rare diseases with medical, social and support services.  In solidarity with Rare Disease Day 2021, Warren City Hall was illuminated in blue, green and pink from dusk until dawn.
